T20 World Cup: Watson believes India will beat Pakistan

In an interesting conversation with former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson at the T20 World Cup, he said that with Australia playing at home, he will be under more pressure this time around, plus the added pressure of becoming world champion.

Second, Australia hacked and switched for the World Cup, but he’s not a big fan and would like to see him play core for an important team heading into the tournament.

Watson added that he needs a solid and ready team before playing the first game. This was one of the main reasons why they won the World Cup last year.

On the other hand, if the rain was clear, Watson chose India to beat Pakistan. He felt that Pakistan’s middle class was still untested and relied heavily on skippers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

He added that if Pakistani firepower bowling attacks can keep India on the low end overall, they might have a chance. We figured opener KL Rahul would be a big hit for India at this World Cup as he could tear up bowling attacks around the world. We picked Pakistan to reach the semi-finals, but we knew New Zealand would always sneak up on us.

West Indies’ failure to qualify for the Super 12, Watson said the two-time world champion’s failure to make his T20 World Cup debut was an It’s shame, he said, giving Ireland a chance to showcase their skills in the Super 12.
